Goldsmith Architecture: The Rhythm of Rose Gold, White Gold, and Rods

The true innovation of the Smilla model lies in its extraordinary two-tone setting in 18kt gold. Unlike traditional settings, here the gold becomes a sculptural structure composed of a sequence of small rings and thin rods. This alternation creates an interplay of solids and voids that gives the piece a surprising visual lightness. The use of white and rose gold is no coincidence: the white serves to emphasize the jade’s brilliance, while the rose provides the warmth necessary to harmonize the jewel with the complexion.
