Silvia Kelly’s Soledad Pendant celebrates one of the world’s most fascinating and ancient gems: jade. In this creation, jade is not simply used as a backdrop, but as a true sculptural canvas. The jade slab, selected for its firmness and vibrant hue, features meticulous engraving that enhances its three-dimensionality. Working jade requires extraordinary technical expertise, as its tenacity challenges the goldsmith’s tools; seeing it blossom into delicate patterns is a hallmark of the fine jewelry we have been practicing in our workshop since 1970.

Unlike traditional settings, the Soledad model envelops the jade slab in a two-tone embrace of 18kt gold. Rose gold envelops the stone, lending it an enveloping warmth, while white gold defines the structural details for a modern and sophisticated look. The final touch of prestige is provided by the link, crafted entirely from white gold and embellished with a row of brilliant-cut diamonds. These small points of light create the perfect contrast with the satin-finished jade, elevating the pendant to a collector’s item.
