London Blue Topaz Ring

“Blue awakens simple hearts without falsehoods.” – Boys Be

The Secret of Blue Topaz: A Gem of Extraordinary Saturation
Blue topaz is one of the most captivating gems for those who love bold, magnetic colors. Many users wonder how these intense hues are achieved: in the world of jewelry, blue topaz (often referred to as London Blue due to its dark hue) is prized for its ability to reflect light in a dense, almost velvety manner. It is a stone with remarkable hardness, which allows it to maintain its brilliance over time. In this ring from the London collection, the gem is paired with select diamonds whose white fire creates a perfect contrast with the deep blue, transforming every movement of the hand into a reflection of pure light.

A legacy born in 1970: creative vision and goldsmith expertise
Purchasing a Silvia Kelly piece means choosing excellence rooted in over fifty years of history. Since 1970, our artisan workshop in Lecco has been the beating heart where ideas take shape. The strength of this blue topaz ring lies in a collaborative creative process: the design and aesthetic vision are overseen by the founder’s daughters, who interpret contemporary taste with an all-feminine sensibility, while the technical execution is entrusted to the expert hands of our master goldsmiths. This constant dialogue between design and the goldsmith’s bench is the secret to our artisanal jewelry production, a tribute to “made in Italy” craftsmanship that prioritizes the quality of detail and the nobility of Italian gold.

The allure of matching: the London Blue Topaz set
The design of the London Ring was conceived to be the focal point of a sophisticated look, but reaches its peak when paired with the London Blue Topaz Earrings. This combination of fine jewelry craftsmanship creates a chromatic harmony that illuminates the entire piece, making the gem the fulcrum of timeless elegance. Our handcrafted jewelry is designed to last, combining the durability of 18kt gold with the timeless beauty of diamonds and blue topaz. Choosing a Silvia Kelly set means choosing a handmade jewelry brand that knows how to enhance the wearer’s personality through clean, modern design.

Larian Inspiration: Between the Waters of Lake Como and Valsassina
The deep hues of blue topaz recall the nuances of Lake Como‘s most beautiful waters, where the blue of the lake meets the dark green of the mountains. Our artisanal workshop continually draws inspiration from this region, nestled between the refinement of the Larian lake and the solid artisan tradition of Valsassina. We invite our customers to discover this connection by visiting our atelier in Lecco: seeing the place where the creativity of the founder’s daughters merges with the mastery of our goldsmiths since 1970 is an experience that enriches the value of the jewelry. Carrying one of our creations means wearing a piece of Italian culture and beauty, rooted in a land that has made excellence its hallmark.

Goldsmith Tailoring: Transforming Your Emotions into Gold
Every gemstone has a story to tell, and our goal is to give it the most elegant voice possible. In addition to our collections, we offer the opportunity to bring unique projects to life through the creation of custom jewelry, starting with your own blue topaz or other stones. If you have a precious memory or a family gemstone that deserves a new lease of life, our designers will design an 18kt gold architecture that enhances its personality, then entrust the creation to our master goldsmiths. It is a journey of co-creation that transforms the material into an eternal bond, guaranteeing the authenticity of an Italian artisan jewelry company that, since 1970, has put the expertise of its hands at the service of your most important moments.

THE TOPAZ

THE TOPAZ

It is extracted mainly in Brazil, but some specimens are also found in Mozambique and Nigeria. The different colors of the topaz are mostly metaphorically named. The blue variants, for example, are described as London Blue Topaz, Swiss Blue Topaz and Sky Blue Topaz. Topaz was considered a symbol of courage and wisdom and was used mounted in gold as a protective amulet against curses.

Size Guide for Rings

Fingers tend to become smaller in colder temperatures.
Indeed, we advise you to measure fingers at the end of the day, when they are largest.

  • Take a length of string or cut a strip of paper no more than 1cm wide (a slightly less than half an inch)
  • Wrap it around the largest part of your finger
  • Use a pen to mark the point on the string or strip of paper where it forms a circle
  • Pick the marked strip or string of paper on a flat surface
  • Using a ruler, measure the distance from the end of the string or paper to the mark you make
  • Compare your measurement with the chart below to determine your ring size

If your size is between two sizes or if you are unsure of your size, opt for the largest of the two.
